About me

My engagement with electroacoustic composition, music production, sound engineering, and sound design began through my studies at the Ionian University. As I enter the final year of my degree, I have developed a strong interest in interactive musical art — particularly through programming in the Max/MSP environment — and in how it can be combined with free improvisation, composition, as well as with image and the performing arts.

As a result, I am especially interested in creative collaborations, both purely musical and those that exist within multimedia and choreographic contexts. In such projects, I can contribute both compositionally (music creation, creative sound design, live electronic improvisation) and technically, in the areas of recording, mixing, and mastering.

Concepts that particularly inspire me as an artist include the interaction between sound and movement in choreography, the active participation of the audience in shaping a dynamic work (the exchange of roles between listeners and performers), and free improvisation that evolves through image and video.

At present, I am a member of the ASABE electronic music ensemble at the Ionian University, as well as other ensembles in which I have participated. In parallel, I am actively composing electroacoustic works and designing electronic instruments and devices in Max/MSP for use in performances and improvisations. Finally, I am involved in concert setups and have undertaken the recording of my fellow students’ diploma projects.

Collaborations

I would be delighted to engage in creative collaborations, including:

  • Theatrical projects (sound design, live electronic performance)

  • Artistic video works (multimedia integration, sound creation)

  • Music ensembles and electronic albums (composition, electronic sound design, production)

  • Sound design and audio production (for performances, installations, and recordings)

Participations

My composition À la Concrete–Grotesco has been selected by my composition teacher, Theodoros Lotis, to be presented at the International Festival of Acousmatic Music “L’Escape du Son” in Brussels, between October 15 and 19, 2025.

Through my participation in sonic arts summer academy 2025 in Corfu  I had the  chance to collaborate with people  around Europe and specifically students and teachers from the  Conservatorio di Musica Giovan Battista Martini in Bologna, Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität  in Linz Austria , Tangible Music Lab, Kunstuniversität Linz in Austria and  Ionian University. In this fascinating week I had the chance to perform and diffuse my piece "Grotesco" in a 12-channel system  , and also I participated in three live improvisation concerts (with the ensemble of teacher Simone Faracci from Conservatorio di Musica Giovan Battista , with the ASABE ensemble of Ionian University and also with BLIP workshop).  I was also a part of the technical team that organized the sound system , and all the equipment that we needed.

In the 18th Festival of the Audio-Visual Department of the Ionian University, I participated both as a technician and as a composer-performer. On one hand, as a member of the technical team, I contributed to the setup and organization of a 22-channel system for the concerts. On the other hand, I diffused one of my own compositions through the same system as part of a concert within the festival.

This is a poster for a live electronics concert we performed with ASABE, the electronic ensemble of the Ionian University, at Polytechno Corfu. This unique ensemble is dedicated to the egalitarian treatment of all sounds, embracing the idea that every sonic element can serve as a valuable tool for improvisation.

An other participation from the same series as before. This time we added electric guitar and improvised percussion to expand the synolic timbre of the free improvisation.

Ilias Antonopoulos: El.Guitar

Dionisis Kalimeris: improvised percussions

Konstantinos Vlachos: Trombone

Thanos Tsavouselis: Electronic and digital instruments

Aris Kazantzis: Electronic and digital instruments

Concert at Polytechno , Corfu.

A live performance we presented with colleagues and friends from Corfu, combining electronic and digital instruments with acoustic ones. This organic contrast fosters a compelling improvisational outcome, where the boundaries between electronic and acoustic music begin to blur. The concert was a part of a series of free improvisation  concerts created by students of the music department of Ionian University. The series name was "Hours of communal noise". The participators of this particular concert were,

Thanos Tsavouselis: Eletronics

Aris Kazantzis: Eletronics

Konstantinos Vlachos: Trombone

Konstantinos Trakadas: Trumpet

Concert at Polytechno , Corfu.
